I found these images tonight while cleaning out my computer files in advance of the newly purchased laptop’s arrival.

Mitch Itkowitz, of  Graphic Collectibles, is Frank Quitely’s original art rep.  He posted these amazing original pencils of the complete issue of BATMAN AND ROBIN #1 for sale about a 10 months ago.  (No inks as the book was digitally inked and coloured straight from the pencils.)

I would so totally buy Quitely’s BAR in B&W.

Note(s): My second Doc piece (first one) was a great and unexpected surprise.  A totally awesome surprise that featured one of my favourite super-hero teams, the original Teen Titans.   You can’t help but be drawn to Robin’s facial expression or see that Wonder Girl has freckles.  What I didn’t notice until the 5th or 6th viewing was Aqualad – how hilarious is that?

I was going to ask Evan for sketch during the show but every time I walked by and chatted with him and his wife, Mrs Doc, his list was long and he was busy.  So I didn’t and yet I still ended up with another sweet Shaner illustration for the DTB collection.

Thanks Evan!  I’m glad you and Mrs Doc enjoyed your 1st ever Canadian con.
